According to an ABC 15 news report, the injury collision occurred near the intersection of Montezuma Street and Navajo Drive. The GMC was southbound on Montezuma when it drove left of center, crossed into opposing lanes of traffic and hit the school bus head-on. The 25-year old female driver of the Denali sustained a broken leg. In such cases, a number of questions arise. Were alcohol or drugs factors? Did distracted driving play a part? Did the accident occur due to a dangerous roadway? Was one of the drivers inattentive? Was one of the drivers fatigued or asleep at the wheel? Was speed a factor? Any time a driver crosses over to opposing lanes of traffic and causes a head-on collision, it is important to ask these questions and determine what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
