The peak hour for non-alcohol related fatal crashes was from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The peak hour for fatal DUI collisions in Arizona was from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.
- United States: There were 30,797 fatal crashes in 2009.In those accidents, 17,640 drivers and 6,770 passengers were killed. Also, 59 percent of all fatal crashes involved only one vehicle.

- Arizona: In 3,029 Arizona motorcycle accidents that occurred in 2009, 122 motorcyclists were killed. Also, 133 motorcyclists and nine motorcycle passengers were killed.
